This morning we met up with Jesus Tirso, the photographer we used for our wedding, to get some maternity pictures taken. We decided on the Sam Houston Park in downtown Houston as our location, and I'm so glad we did. The park actually has some significance for Pete and I because we volunteered for a Breast Cancer walk on Mother's Day 2008 in that park. Pete's mother passed away from Breast Cancer and since we had no plans to see either my mom or Cheryl that year we thought it would be a good way to spend the day. So it was kind of special to have our photos taken in the same park. The park features several old homes and a tiny church. Also there are fabulous views of the Houston skyline. We were there for about an hour and got some awesome pix. I can't wait to see them all in a week or so!
Now for the rest of the day it's back to reality. We have loads of laundry to do from vacation, rooms to vaccuum, and groceries to buy. Then tonight we are heading down to the Med Center for Infant CPR class at The Women's Hospital.
